  5. hi Vin, thanks for the 'kad raya'.i'm sorry 4 not blogging lately. hve been busy making 'kuih raya' etc. btw, i'm not from sungai petani (i'm fr the pearl of the orient but born in India ) & not a pakistani either. i'm a pukka indian-muslim.r u a north indian? if so fr which part of India? nice to know ur Aussie hubby loves chillies & sambal.my 'indian-muslim'hubby will run the 100 meters dash if he sees chillies.funny huh?

    Thank you for your comments. So you were born in India? I was born in Alor Star and I am fourth generation Malaysian born. My great3 grandfather was born in Amritsar, so my ancestry is from there; in other words, now I am an Australian-Malaysian-Punjabi-Sikh....what a MOUTHFUL!

    Yes my 'gora' husband can really eat chilli....he scares me some times! Yes, it is funny that your husband runs away from chillies. I would have thought that he would be used to chillis!

    Anyway, have a safe Eid and I look forward to your upcoming posts...make sure you put your kuih raya recipes up, ya!
